The study, commissioned by The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress, explores the future of the roofing industry, including the threats and opportunities that will challenge every aspect of the industry during the next 20 years.

For the past year, industry leaders participated in a series of "future focus groups" contributing to many aspects of this report, as well as identifying areas for further research.

The report also includes interviews with construction industry experts and outcomes from extensive trends research. It covers topics such as the potential labor pool; materials; energy efficiency; industry structure; and globalization.

The report is intended to spark discussion and debate within the roofing industry and contains many references for more in-depth exploration of the ideas presented. The Alliance hopes the concepts detailed in the report will engage the roofing industry in meaningful and purposeful conversation about the industry's future and prepare the entire roofing industry for a prosperous future.
