Essentials: The Basics for Roof System Installers

This course is a great way to expose new roofing workers to important information all field employees need to know. It is composed of 15 modules and an exam covering safety, rooftop access, roof tear-off and much more.

Steep-slope Core

This collection of three courses and one exam provides participants with the concepts of steep-slope roofing and prepares them to learn about installing steep-slope roof systems. Included are:

• Steep-slope Decks and Underlayment
• Steep-slope Flashing Concepts
• The Prepared Employee
• Steep-slope Core Exam

Architectural Metal Panel Installation 

This component includes four courses, a series of hands-on activities and an exam that provides roof system installers (or potential installers) with the knowledge necessary to work on an architectural metal roof system installation crew. Included are:

• Introduction to Metal Panel Roof Systems
• Metal Panel Roof System Materials and Tools
• Fundamental Skills for Installing Metal Panel Roof Systems
• Installing a Metal Panel Roof System
• Hands-on Activities List (optional)
• Architectural Metal Panel Exam

Architectural Metal Skills Practice Tour

The Architectural Metal Skills Practice Tour simulates a real-world roofing contractor’s place of business. As participants navigate the office, shop and yard spaces, they will complete hands-on activities that reinforce key course concepts and mimic on-the-job experiences.
